Tuesday, February 9 at noon , social meet time with candidate is 11:30 to 12:00

Join us for our annual Lincoln Day Luncheon Tuesday, February 9 at noon at J J's Restaurant. This year our speaker will be retired Army Colonel Bob McConnell of Steamboat Springs. He is running to unseat John Salazar in the 3rd Congressional District of Colorado. As an Airborne Ranger, Bob led soldiers in Germany and Vietnam. He served as a JAG lawyer in Forts Carson and Monmouth, and the Pentagon. He was a litigation attorney in Colorado Springs for 15 years, specializing in labor and employment law. He understands economic, agricultural and environmental issues in the 3rd District. Bob is committed to finding Practical Solutions to Real Problems through limited government, lower taxes, free markets, strong national defense, potecting individual rights, and developing individual responsibilities.

February 11, 2010 at 5:30 p.m.

The sixth annual Mercy Health Foundation event promises to warm body and soul as some of the finest restaurants and caterers of Pagosa Springs feature delicious soups, appetizers and desserts to benefit Hospice of Mercy.

In addition to enjoying a delicious meal, guests will be able to participate in a silent auction featuring beautiful works of art by many local artists and enjoy live music.

Tickets can be purchased for $25 at Moonlight Books (cash or check only), The Pagosa Chamber of Commerce (cash or check only), the Hospice of Mercy/Mercy Home Health office or by calling the Mercy Health Foundation at 764.2800.

02/17/10 - Health Kits for Haiti

The Community United Methodist Church's Mission Committee is hosting a work party to assemble health kits for Haiti being distributed by UMCOR.  The gathering will take place at the Church in the Fellowship Hall on Ash Wednesday, February 17th at 1:00 p.m.  Additional donations for the Health Kits are also welcomed.         

Please contact the Church for the list of content needs.  Also, money donations are very welcomed since we cannot put toothpaste in them, we need to send a 1.00 with each kit.  

No donations are necessary. 

We would appreciate all the help we can get to assemble these kits for a much needed cause.
